Tuesday in India: Lessons To Be Learned

Exam pressure and pressure to perform is one of the leading cause of depression and suicidal tendencies among teenagers.

When I was a student in India, I got a huge shock during my first exams.

The exams were basically created to check my memory (the more you write - the higher mark you expect, the closer to the book - the better and so on) rather than practical knowledge.

It was tough and I saw how many of my friends were trembling under immense pressure from teachers, family, neighbors, friends, eventually themselves..

Of course this campaign plays with your emotions to sell the products, but they also raise an important issue. And it's on you what's going to happen next.

P.S. Having in mind that Indian parents don't dive in YouTube, forwarding this video or leaving it on your screen as a hint would be a great step to initiate a conversation.

Tuesday in India: Our Right To Have Half

"Who run the world? Girls!," Beyonce is proudly repeating since 2011.

However, in many parts of the world girls still struggle to claim their equal rights.

Driving on this idea, United Colours of Benetton has rolled out a campaign '#UnitedByHalf' (conceptualised by Creativeland Asia) through which it strives to push gender equality and women empowerment.

Obviously this campaign won't change the mindset of the society at once but ..

Drop after drop after drop makes a hole in the stone simply by regular falling.

Beautifully made.

Tuesday in India: This Ray Could be Your 51st Shade of Grey

I see you baby, being Ray.

Cool sway, no stress weight, youngster all the way.

There are things that immediately cause a nodding.

This Fastrack's ad conceptualized by Lowe Lintas is one of those things.

Short, simple, cool.

Get the feeling.

Tuesday in India: To Wear or Not To Wear

"Hey you, look up, my eyes are right here," she says daily.

While living in India I've always felt that stereotypical labels are enforced particularly heavily onto women here, hence, various movements begin from place to place to raise awareness and fight the issue (oh, just wish for more continuity).

Supporting women's freedom to choose, Phantom Ideas has launched a campaign for fashion e-commerce brand Ajio.com.

Slightly too dramatic video to deliver the message, but.. it does deliver.
